Today a new chapter begins for Diane Rebecca Slaga, the celebration of her truly inspirational life. On Wednesday, June 21, 2017, this amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend passed away at the age of 70 years. As she would want all to know, she battled and beat multiple myeloma for 27 years. 

Diane was born to the late Harriett and Donald Reichard on March, 26, 1947 in Easton, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Wilson High School (Easton) in 1965. She was united in marriage to her loving husband and partner of 49 years, Edward Slaga in Allentown, Pennsylvania. They moved to Coral Springs, Florida in 1975, where she lived and raised her family. She will be lovingly remembered by the many people that were so fortunate to have been a part of her life; her husband Edward, their children Tracy and Tina (who passed in 1991), her grandchildren, Tina, Kaitlyn, Michael, and Christopher, her siblings Carolyn Youpa, Don Reichard, Susan Lilly, and Kathy McClelland, her brothers and sisters-in-law, her son-in-law Kevin Sheehan, and her dear extended family and friends. 

A celebration of Diane's vigorous and inspirational life will begin with a prayer service on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1655 North University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida 33071. 

The celebration will continue with Catholic Mass on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 10am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, 1401 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs, Florida 33071 and graveside service at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 State Road 7, North Lauderdale, Florida 33068. 

A memorial fund has been set up in Diane's name to further cancer research at The American Cancer Research Center and Foundation, 8000 IH 10 West, San Antonio, TX 78230 or online at ACRCF.org.
