John C. Barr

John C. Barr, 60, of North Catasauqua, Pa, died Monday, February 25, 2008 in Lehigh Valley Hospice.

Born: On June 7, 1947 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was as of Clinton F. Barr of Avona Heights and the late Beatrice M. Wilhelm Barr.

Personal: John and his wife, the former Ruth A. Miller, were married for 34 years this month.

He worked at the J.C. Penney distribution center in Fogelsville. Prior to that, he worked for Metropolitan Steel, Reading and Lehigh Structural Steel, Allentown.

Memberships: John was a member of the Easton Lodge #152, Free and Accepted Masons.

Survivors: In addition to his wife Ruth, he is survived by a son, Michael J. Barr and his wife Tonya of Allentown; a daughter, Jamie Rothdeutsch and her husband Matt of Bethlehem; a sister, Becky, and three grandchildren.

Services: Will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton Sts., Easton. Call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Memorials: Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
