Kay Lorraine Sears, 50, of Easton, died Thursday, Dec. 31 in Easton Hospital after being stricken in her home. She was employed by the Lehigh University Post Office for the past 15 years.

Born Jan. 24, 1948, in Easton, she was a daughter of Gwendolyn Mertz of Arcadia and the late Robert Ackerman. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Forks Township. She was a 1966 graduate of Wilson High School.

She and her husband, John D., observed their 2nd wedding anniversary in May.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two sons, Eric Ginder and Brian Ginder, both of Easton, two sisters, Janice M. Hanus of Arcadia and Rosalind A. Martin of Lancaster, Pa.; and a grandson.

Services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday in the Faith Lutheran Church, 2012 Sullivan Trail, Forks Township. Call 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday in the church. The Strunk Funeral Home, 2102 Northampton St., Easton, is in charge of the arrangements.
