Sandy's Recap
Twenty-two classmates and spouses attended the breakfast at Williams Restaurant on William Penn Highway on Saturday, November 10th, 2012.
Gail (Schooley) Nagy led a brief meeting before breakfast. The following was discussed:
-
Debbie (Schippers) Patterson gave an update on the status of our scholarship drive to give a $5,000 scholarship to two students in memory of Ronnie Kulczycki and Louis Cardell at the 2015 graduation ceremony. Currently we are a little over halfway to our goal of raising $10,000. As a reminder, if you have not made a donation, please send any amount you feel comfortable giving made payable WHS Class of 1965 to Debbie Patterson, 115 Morvale Road, Easton, PA 18042.
-
The Class of 2015 invited us to walk with them at their graduation in June 2015. It was decided by those attending today that anyone living locally is urged to attend the graduation to represent our class.
-
We were asked to think about what type of reunion we want to have for our 50th and whether we should change the timing to coincide with Wilson’s Homecoming. We could make it a three-day event with perhaps a tour of a local winery, round of golf, or bowling on Friday, the football game and Reunion dinner/dance on Saturday, and ending with brunch on Sunday. With our reunion only three years away, we really would appreciate any suggestions you may have to help us make this reunion a memorable event.
-
Finally, we have received requests from the Classes of 1964 and 1966 to think about a joint reunion. It was decided at breakfast that this was a good idea, but not for our 50th reunion. Please let us have your comments on a joint reunion, also.
